Friday - Hotel shift
Things are never dull in Honduras. We were not able to go to the Copan Ruins today because the indigenous people are holding it hostage to obtain some concessions from the government. Ricardo Agurcia however gave us a personal lecture on the ruins. Ricardo is a Duke grad and the foremost archeologist in Honduras and a great friend to our efforts. As a precaution I have elected to move the group to a hotel on the other side of the Ruins tonight so we don't have to go by the Ruins in the morning on the way to San Pedro Airport. We will be home soon. Dennis Clements
